May I wish you all a very Happy New Year and I hope that everyone has had a good Christmas too. I love to put my tree up and my twinkling lights around the house but I also like to get back to normal. Now we are settling down into our daily routines may I invite you to spend a little time thinking how you could help our 'SIBOL' project.
My 'SIBOL' project started in January 2010 when I invited Ladies to help me make Sunshine Blankets for the Elderly who live in Care Homes. My aim was to make half a dozen but the response has been amazing and to date we have now made 935 Sunshine Blankets. I still can't believe that. I would very much like to reach 1,000 Sunshine Blankets would you like to help?
We require Crocheted or Knitted Blankets larger than 36".
Up to Single Bed Size.
Perhaps a 1 to 2" border would be lovely.
In any colour you like, hopefully Acrylic yarn as it washes better.
Any pattern or design you like.
Honestly I'm leaving it up to you.
'SIBOL' is a place where we can be creative and it's so nice that we can try out new ideas but at the same time doing something worthwhile for an Elderly Resident.
We also require Crocheted or Knitted Shawls these were suggested at the start of 2014 and we have donated quite a lot to Care Homes already. Residents find them very useful indeed. There are lots of patterns on the internet but also over on RAVELRY.
Why not join our RAVELRY Group we always welcome new members to join us.
Here's the LINK to our Group.
If you would like to see our Sunshine Blankets in more detail why not join Flickr? Every Blanket we have made is recorded on here. So there is lots of eye candy to look over.

If there is anything you would like to know please pop over to SIBOL CHALLENGES here's the LINK.
My address to send Blankets is available by email.
