Hi Everyone!

I am very pleased to be showing you a gorgeous Blanket which has been donated to 'SIBOL' today.
It has been lovingly made and donated by Sarah over on RAV.

The colours she has chosen in this Blanket go so well together, and once again it's the 'Good ol' Granny' that has been used. Just take a look at this fantastic colour choice!

This 2nd Blanket was in Memory of Mary.

'Springtime' another beauty! (133)

'Springtime' made and donated by jenniferanne (SCOTLAND).

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for popping in to 'Mrs Twins' today.

I am very happy to be showing you a stunning Blanket. This has been made and donated by jenniferanne in SCOTLAND.

For this Blanket she has used all shades of green 'from darkest conifers to palest primroses'. The Square used in this Blanket is called 'Vintage Lace' designed by Margret Wilson. jenniferanne joined the Squares with an 'experimental' fan stitch, which I really loved!

'Springtime' made and donated by jenniferanne (RAV) (SCOTLAND).

jenniferanne also made two 'cabbage white' Butterflies and sent them along too. jenniferanne tried the Blanket  out over her knees and found it very cozy indeed!

I absolutely love this Blanket and if you remember ten days ago, (only ten days ago I add) she also sent into SIBOL 'Still Waters' which was all shades of Blue!

Your kindness is very much appreciated and I know this Blanket will also be very well received by our Elderly folk. Thank you jenniferanne.

Please sit back and enjoy this wonderful Blanket in my Slide Show for jenniferanne!

SIBOL 131!

Hi Everyone!

Ginnyknit (UK) Has very kindly made and donated a Blanket to SIBOL.

I am very pleased to be showing you SIBOL 130 today. This Blanket has been made and donated by Ginnyknit here in the UK. Ginnyknit has made a wonderful Granny Square Blanket and the colours she has used are just so crisp and fresh looking.

Butterflies were made by jean nock and the Blanket was made beautifully too by Ginnyknit!

I am always very grateful to Ladies that have sent me in Blankets especially at this time when I have been involved in our special Olympic Blanket. I am in the process of edging each Square and so far have totalled around 100. I have another 100 Flag Squares coming in over the next few weeks. So as you can imagine actual 'Blanket donation' is helping me keep our Blanket numbers up.  I intend to make a delivery in the summer months (which I know sounds daft) but I want to gather some more before I do so.

The Butterflies were made and donated by jean nock and they match the Blanket beautifully. If anyone wants to have a go at the Butterflies please pop over to Netties Blog in Australia for a wonderful video tutorial!

If you would like to make and donate  a Blanket for the Elderly please follow the link for instructions!

Let's take a look now at Ginnyknits Blanket.

Good ol' Grannies! (129 & 130)

These Blankets are just so pretty!

Hi Everyone!

I am very pleased to be showing you two Granny Square Blankets which arrived today.  They have been made by Joanna here in the UK.

I thought a while back that it might be interesting to make Granny Square Blankets as well as the usual '25' Square Blankets for the Elderly. Well why not, they give out plenty of warmth don't they? So I made 'optional Challenges' for SIBOL and Joanna has taken part. These Blankets are really an excellent way of using up that 'unwanted yarn'. Joanna has made them up beautifully and I'm over the moon that she has donated them to SIBOL.

Let's take a look now.........

Yes the Blue & Green one is for a Man, the other for a Woman! How thoughtful!

Don't you just love them?

These Blankets will be very well received I am sure.

Thank you Joanna, thanks to everyone for visiting 'Mrs Twins' today!

We raised £102.00 for Breast Cancer Care! Thanks everyone!

Hi Everyone!

                                                              'UPDATE SATURDAY!'

I am extremely pleased to be telling you that our 'Think Pink' Blanket raised £102.00 for Breast Cancer Care. I am over the moon with the result!

'THINK PINK' BLANKET

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL 125

Hello Everyone!

Thank you very much for popping in to 'Mrs Twins'  today!

I am posting the same post on 'Mrs Twins' as I have on 'SIBOL.'
This is a very important post to the Crocheting and Knitting Group that I run.
Would you please help by 'Spreading The Word on your beautiful Blogs!
We are trying to raise as much money as we can for Breast Cancer Care.
This illness affects so many Ladies all over the World.
We need your help!
Thank you!

Towards the end of last year one of our 'SIBOLETTES' dear Lotti over on Ravelry made a suggestion to our Group. She suggested making a Blanket in aid of 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month'.  She thought it would be a really nice idea if we made a 'Think Pink' Blanket. What are we good at as a Group? Making Squares and of course Blankets! Our 'SIBOLETTES' were thrilled with this idea and soon after Squares started arriving at Lotti's home.

The Squares had to be made with 'Breast Cancer Awareness' in mind, so pink Squares of course were ideal. They came in all shades of pink and they all had the most wonderful designs. When the Squares were collected, Lotti set about assembling the Blanket.  Several days ago the Blanket arrived back at SIBOL HQ and then I added our famous 'SIBOL' trademark, 'our Butterflies!'.
Today I am very happy to be showcasing this beautiful Blanket and I'm sure you will agree Lotti has made a most wonderful job of it. Each Square has been lovingly made by our 'SIBOLETTES' and it has been an absolute joy to see these gorgeous Squares arrive. I'm absolutely thrilled with this Blanket.

Now the exciting part!  Today we are announcing that this beautiful 'Think Pink'  Blanket will be auctioned over on  EBAY.  This will be 'YOUR CHANCE TO WIN' this stunning Blanket by placing a bid! All proceeds will be sent off to this worthy cause which affects so many women all over the World. I'm sure everyone will agree this is a wonderful idea, but we need your help!

I'm sure you are eager to see the Blanket now.

A Ta - Dah for you! Our SIBOL 'Think Pink' Blanket made by SIBOLETTES from all over the World!

Thank you to Lotti on RAV for co-ordinating this special Challenge.

'Think Pink' Breast Awareness Blanket.

This is a stunning Blanket and I'm very proud of you all! Thank you Lotti!

I would be most happy to answer our questions you have. If you would like to mail me on

sueatpigsty@talktalk.net

Would you like to help our Group? Please spread the World on your Blogs! You are most welcome to take a photo of our 'Think Pink' Blanket off our 'SIBOL' web site and give the EBAY link too.  Hopefully, between us all this Blanket can really raise a substantial amount of money.

Once again may I thank Lotti for organising and assembling this Blanket. Also thanks to each 'SIBOLETTE' that has donated 'PINK' Squares for this particular Challenge. I am really most grateful to each and everyone of you!

So please now pop over to EBAY and place your bids!

Thank you

Love and Best Wishes
