Hello Everyone!

Thank you very much for popping in to 'Mrs Twins' today!

I am posting the same post on 'Mrs Twins' as I have on 'SIBOL.'
This is a very important post to the Crocheting and Knitting Group that I run.
Would you please help by 'Spreading The Word on your beautiful Blogs!
We are trying to raise as much money as we can for Breast Cancer Care.
This illness affects so many Ladies all over the World.
We need your help!

Towards the end of last year one of our 'SIBOLETTES' dear Lotti over on Ravelry made a suggestion to our Group. She suggested making a Blanket in aid of 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month'. She thought it would be a really nice idea if we made a 'Think Pink' Blanket. What are we good at as a Group? Making Squares and of course Blankets! Our 'SIBOLETTES' were thrilled with this idea and soon after Squares started arriving at Lotti's home.

The Squares had to be made with 'Breast Cancer Awareness' in mind, so pink Squares of course were ideal. They came in all shades of pink and they all had the most wonderful designs. When the Squares were collected, Lotti set about assembling the Blanket. Several days ago the Blanket arrived back at SIBOL HQ and then I added our famous 'SIBOL' trademark, 'our Butterflies!'.
Today I am very happy to be showcasing this beautiful Blanket and I'm sure you will agree Lotti has made a most wonderful job of it. Each Square has been lovingly made by our 'SIBOLETTES' and it has been an absolute joy to see these gorgeous Squares arrive. I'm absolutely thrilled with this Blanket.

Now the exciting part! Today we are announcing that this beautiful 'Think Pink' Blanket will be auctioned over on EBAY. This will be 'YOUR CHANCE TO WIN' this stunning Blanket by placing a bid! All proceeds will be sent off to this worthy cause which affects so many women all over the World. I'm sure everyone will agree this is a wonderful idea, but we need your help!

Time flies!

Hi Everyone!

It's not like me at all to let my blogs lag behind and for that I am truly sorry! Time flies doesn't it! I have to admit it took me quite a while to get back in to the swing of things after Christmas. We work so hard Knitting and Crocheting just before Christmas trying to get those last minute presents made up and then after Christmas we are totally exhausted.

I did actually take a wee break over Christmas from my SIBOL work. We have been running two years in February and every day I have been totally devoted to our Sunshine Blankets but I felt it was time to take a wee break as I said to do what I felt I wanted to do. I felt the urge to make some Granny Blankets and this is what I made.

I felt the Granny Square Blanket experience was just so relaxing and these little beauties measure roughly 36" Square. The pastel one on the end is roughly 32".

Of course I have been carrying on with my SIBOL work during January although I haven't been posting on here, I have on SIBOL.

I was very happy to receive a great Blanket from Coxabey (UK) 'SIBOL 123' This one was called 'Fruit Bowl' and it is just so pretty. Coxabey after making the Blanket could not find a use for it and so she donated to SIBOL! That was extremely kind of her and I know that the Blanket will go a long way to keeping someone warm!

I also had another Blanket donated by Craftymizz. This one is a stunner too! She calls it 'One for the Guys!' and you will see by the colours that they are a mans colour! I am very happy to be accepting this Blanket from you Craftymizz and this one too will be ideal to give to an Elderly person.

If you pop over to the SIBOL Blog you will read all the latest news but I will tell you on here that we are due to auction a 'Think Pink' Blanket very soon on EBAY and when the details are announced I would love everyone all over the World to write a post on your Blogs advertising this great event!

It will be your very own chance to own an official 'SIBOL' Blanket and all monies raised will go towards 'Breast Cancer Care'. I really am trying to raise as much money as we can for this special and worthy cause which has affected so many women all over the World. It is absolutely beautiful and I will be showcasing it on here and on SIBOL very very soon! So please look out for that special Blanket.

Hi Everyone!

Yes I'm very pleased to be telling you that we have now assembled 3,000 Squares (120 Sunshine Blankets) and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for donating your Squares to SIBOL.

I have three new SIBOLS today for you to look at.

The first one SIBOL 118 called 'Pastels in a Paintbox'. Squares were donated by Jean B and Emily both Ladies in the UK. Thank you both very much indeed. I'm sure you will agree this Blanket is lovely. Such pretty Granny Squares!

The next one is a Flower Blanket. Such pretty Flower Squares! Flower Squares and Grannies are my absolute musts! I love them.

The last Blanket I have to show you has been assembled by 'Jean Nock' and she has made a wonderful job for SIBOL. The border is simply gorgeous. Thank you Jean Nock!

Don't you just love Grannies?. I think Granny Squares are simply the best! You can do so much with them using a very basic Square.

Ta - Dah! Introducing our 110th SIBOL! 'Snowman Challenge'.

Good Evening Everyone!

Thank you for visiting 'Mrs Twins' this evening.

I am very happy to be showcasing our 110th SIBOL.

While I am getting our 'Sunshine Blankets' ready for the Nursing Homes, Ladies over on Ravelry have been doing a few Challenges on my behalf. One of the Ladies 'Amanda' of mandas' challenges has very kindly suggested a 'Snowman theme'.

The Squares have been arriving for this Challenge and Amanda very kindly assembled the Squares together using the 'flat braiding' method. I'm sure you will agree the Blanket is beautiful. Thanks to everyone that has sent in Squares for this Challenge. Thanks to Amanda for making the Blanket up for us. This Blanket along with the others will be going to Nursing Homes.

Here's the 'Snowman Blanket' and I think Amanda should think of a name now.

Each Square has been lovingly made with SIBOL in mind. Each Square is just so different, a joy to look at!

I would like to thank each and every one of you who have very kindly sent me Squares for my SIBOL project. Without you, I could not have achieved all of these 'Sunshine Blankets'.

Hello Everyone!

There is only one more SIBOL to show after this one. I am just so happy!

This is our 99th Ta - Dah today, and the Squares are just fabulous.,

If you visit SIBOL it will tell you a little more about the Squares in this 99th Blanket.

I am sure you will agree this Blanket has worked out beautifully once again. I didn't say what colour yarn to use in these Squares but I'm sure you will agree it all co-ordinates beautifully together.

Ta - Dah's 4 of them!

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for visiting 'Mrs Twins' this evening.

It has been one of those 'very exciting' SIBOL days! You know when that word 'WOW!' comes to mind. In the post this morning I received four, yes four Sunshine Blankets! They were assembled by Linda of Chalky's World and the Squares were donated by the Ladies on the MSE thread.

I just could not believe my eyes when I opened the large parcel. How very kind! The Ladies on the MSE thread work hard all year round for various Charities. They are such a kind bunch. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your Squares. These Blankets will be delivered with the rest October/November time. As I said on SIBOL, the Elderly are going to have some really beautiful Blankets covering their knees throughout the Winter.

Well done Linda 'Chalky' for assembling them so beautifully and well done to the Ladies on MSE too. Thank you all so much.

Flowers and Butterflies make up SIBOL 89!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Flowers and Butterflies make up this 89th 'Sunshine Blanket' with many thanks to bonsall (UK) and Laura (Netherlands). I decided to put the two sets of Squares together because they both had green backgrounds and I thought they would go well together. I am really pleased how this Blanket has turned out.

I was saying over on 'SIBOL' that the edging took me ages! It simply is a chain of 24 but it was neverending! I would do a little each day and that's why it's taken me a while. But I'm so pleased how this one has turned out. Another favourite of mine, But as I say everytime 'I love them all!'.

Thanks bonsall and Laura I am most grateful to you for the prettiest of Squares!

50 Squares, two Ta - Dah's!

Hi Everyone!

Well another 50 Squares have been made up, the numbers are adding up. It will soon be our 100th Sunshine Blanket and I am so...excited!

I would like to thank 'Jean Nock' very much indeed for assembling 'SIBOL 87' (Right) for me. I'm sure you will agree she has made a wonderful job. I am most grateful to you and indeed to everyone who has contributed Squares for this particular Blanket. This Blanket comes under our 'Mens' Department. :)

The second Blanket was a total shock and surprise! I received a parcel a few days ago from 'joyce28' and on opening I thought joyce28 had just been so busy making Squares for SIBOL. Little did I know inside there was a Blanket! I was so surprised!

joyce28 has very kindly been busy making Squares from the 'Knit Today' magazine. They actually did a full page spread of Crocheted patterns called 'Simple Squares' and they suggested they send to 'SIBOL'. Well I thought it would be a good idea to make a Blanket up from Squares. But I didn't know joyce28 was secretly making her own Blanket to send too! I'm absolutely over the moon with the Blanket and I really appreciate your kindness joyce28.

Good Evening Everyone!

I have another Ta - Dah for you! I have'nt even had to crochet a Square together this time! A parcel arrived in the post yesterday and I thought golly there are a lot of Squares here! When I opened it I found a Blanket. Yes a beautiful Blanket from Rainbow Ribbon.

I am just so touched by the kindness she has shown. To receive Squares is just wonderful, but to receive a made up Blanket is just fantastic. This really saves me a lot of work and I am most grateful to her.

I'm sure you want to see it. I have made a Slide Show sit back now and enjoy! Rainbow Ribbon may I have a name for your Blanket please? Thank you so much for going to such a lot of trouble.

Olympics London 2012! I need your help.

Most of you know I run an on-line Crocheting and Kntting Group called 'SIBOL'.

Throughout the year we make 'Sunshine Blankets' for the Elderly in Nursing Homes.

At the moment we have a special Challenge running.
To make a special one-off Blanket to celebrate the Olympics London 2012 Games.

I need your help though.
Do you Knit or Crochet?
Would you like to make a 6" (15cms x 15cms) Square?
If you do pop over to our SIBOL CHALLENGES web-site.

Squares are invited with the Olympics in mind.
So why not make a Flag of your own Country?
Maybe a Square with an Event in mind. Cycling, Swimming, Running?
Or maybe the Olympic Circles, Olympic Flame, Olympic Logo?

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I'm off to a Tropical island today where I can laze about on a deserted beach. What comes to mind on a Tropical island? Yes colourful birds, beautiful flowers, refreshing fruit and plenty more. Just take a look at SIBOL 85!

I would like to thank everyone for the Squares for this Challenge. Your imagination has run riot again and you have come up with the most magical Squares. I am truly blessed to receive them and I hope you like what I've managed to do with them. It's been an absolute pleasure to make this Blanket up.

Our 84th Ta- Dah!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for visiting 'Mrs Twins' today.

I'm very happy to be showcasing our 84th 'Sunshine Blanket'. What fun we are having!

I would like to thank Jean Nock for assembling this Blanket for me. The Squares have been sitting waiting to be assembled and I'm really pleased how this Blanket has worked out now. Beautiful Squares, lovely colours in shades of Pink and Green. I think the white border finishes it off beautifully.

I do hope you like this Blanket, I know I do. It's so lightweight too and I'm sure one Elderly person is just going to love it.

I'm very happy to be showing you this Blanket. Laura in the Netherlands very kindly made all the Squares for this Blanket. They are just so pretty! She has called it 'Pigtails!'.

Yes, another Ta - Dah! This one is the third Jan Eaton Blanket that we have put together. The Blocks have been chosen from Jan Eaton's 200 Block Book. We will be doing the next 25 Blocks, but not just yet. I have to get down my Challenges first.

81 x 25 Squares = 2,025 Squares now assembled.

Yes we have another Ta - Dah!

I am very happy to be showing you the latest Sunshine Blanket and this one was not assembled by me either. All the Squares were made by Jean Nock and the Blanket was then assembled and donated to our SIBOL project. Kindness from Flickr Ladies never fails to amaze me! I am just so touched by the kindness Jean Nock has shown. She has made each of these 25 Squares so beautifully, all wonderful colours. Lots of Granny Squares in numerous colour combinations! It's just fantastic how they have been made and put together. This Blanket is really lovely and I'm so grateful to you because you are donating it to our SIBOL project.

I am very happy to be showing you SIBOL 77! 'Rhapsody in Blue'. These SIBOLS are coming along so....fast lately!

SIBOL No.77 is a beautiful Blanket. It has been made by Coxabey over on RAV. How kind of her to make each Square, assemble them and send the Blanket all finished to SIBOL! She has been working on it very hard over the last few months. Now I have made the Butterflies it is ready to show you!

They were bought but never used.

Bucilla Felt Chair Topper 'Mr Claus' 18.5" x 17"

This is a felt applique kit.

I have not opened the kit.

CONTENTS:-
Stamped Felts, Cotton Floss, Color Seperated Sequins and beads
2 Needles,
Tri-Lingual instructions.

Basically it is a kit which has to be made up.
All Appliques are Numbered.
You have to refer to the Design Chart and then cut and sew the

I am happy to show you my 73rd Ta - Dah! Thank you to everyone that has contributed Squares for this Blanket. They have all been so pretty, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them.

As I said over on SIBOL, the bright sun light has been a problem today taking photographs. I have been out so many times but it has been really hot and I just could not get good shots. I hope these are okay for you.

I really love thie blanket. The border was based on Maree's Squares which are the two Squares each side of the middle Square. I've tried to match up as much as I could.

Here's my Slide Show, and thanks again for the most beautiful Squares.

We've been busy at 'Two Times'.

Hi Everyone!

Over the last months we have been having some work done to the house. It was long overdue.

First of all you see a conifer. We decided to have that cut down. It was messy and I was fed up with forever sweeping up the bits. We were worrying about the roots too. So that was the first thing to be done. Not to mention it was getting pretty dark sitting in the Conservatory with that big thing blocking our sunlight.

I suppose maybe the patio didn't look that bad. But be assured it was. The slabs were so dangerous because they were all loose. The steps were a mess. Did we repair? Or did we have new? More expense to have new but long term we had to stop paying out every year. So we decided to have the slabs taken up and new ones laid.

The men arrived in April. It was lovely weather that week. After cutting the tree down they started taking th slabs up.

Oh yes then we had the mess!

Our patio is on three levels. From the Conservatory down to the garden it is a six foot drop.

The men started laying the new slabs and every day we took photos of their progress.

Only the top patio to be done now. The men were really good workers and very reliable. They turned up every day and we got on well with them.

The Conifer tree was at the side of the Shed here.

So as you see we are getting there now. No tree, lots of sunlight!

The patio was finished, now it was time for the roof. I was worried about the Conservatory roof, but they put scaffolding up and walked high up over the Conservatory roof.

You don't see the front of my house very often. We only have a small house, but it's home and we love it. When our twin daughters were little we decided to call it 'Two Times' after the Little Miss Twin books. All the toys in the house 'were twice over'. Everything was in 'two's!'.

Then we had new fences down the side and a new gate.

So there you are all finished.

Behind all the trees up high on the embankment we have the Railway line. Today we had the Steam trains running through.

There you are all done. All tidy now and we're happy.

I am so happy because we have reached the Big 70! I actually finished this one on Friday, and Puppet Lady's braid arrived just in time. I think it looks quite pretty! Thank you Puppet Lady!

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for popping by 'Mrs Twins' today.

First of all it is our Wedding Anniversary today, so Mr. Twins 'I love you and thank you for 28 beautiful years!'.

So amongst the opening of cards this morning, I received a parcel. A few days ago I found out when visiting Chalky's blog that her dear Buster had picked my Number and I had won a Giveaway to my surprise! Pop over and have a look! Well this morning the parcel arrived. Oh goodness what a treat! Do you want to join me in opening it? Here goes.......

What's in the box?

I know it was a bit of a mystery, until I opened it and saw all these beautifully wrapped gifts. Each one had beautiful Butterflies adorning them.....Oh how lovely! Matching paper and there was certainly a theme going on here!

This wasn't the only parcel to arrive this morning, I also received a package from Puppet Lady. Would you like to see what was inside this one? A few weeks ago I sent Puppet Lady a wad of felt that I no longer needed. I felt she could put it to better use than what I could! Well she has been having a 'Drawer-raid' herself and this is what she sent to me.

Some beautiful pink ribbon and also a large reel of beige Braid. This was from her Mothers' stash and she wanted me to have it. This will be so......useful for our 'Sunshine Blankets' for SIBOL, thank you so much Puppet Lady!

Wow! It's been quite a morning! Now I'm off to celebrate our 28th year of Wedding Bliss! :)

Just popping in to show you our latest Ta - Dah! This is Number 69, I know only one more to the big 70!

I am very happy indeed to be telling you that Louise very kindly sent me back today a SIBOL Blanket which she has been putting together for us. I'm sure you will agree she's made it beautifully and I just love how she has done the border and attached the Squares together.

It's very pretty in Purple and Green, and she says it reminds her of Wimbledon Colours! So I think Louise you may be thinking of a name I hope so! I'm very grateful to you when I know you have other projects on the go too!

I'm very pleased to be showing you my latest 'Sunshine Blanket'. It's No. 68! I know two more off the big number 70!

Thanks to everyone that has very kindly sent me Squares for this particular Blanket. I just absolutely love the colour combination on this Blanket Pink, Blue and Deep Pink. Some of the Squares I have had for a long time, but if I can explain they have to wait patiently until I can get a nice set of 25!

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOLS 66 & 67!

Good Evening everyone!

Well I have had a busy couple of weeks, what with the Builders here first of all then the Roofers! They have finally finished their work today! Hooray! Unfortunately I've been having problems with signing in to the web sites, but this evening Mr. Twins has managed to get me in. It all came down to 'History' apparently. I needed to clear my History for things to work properly.

I just want to give you a tip. We find these things out when things go wrong.

Everytime I tried to write a New Post, it would say 're-directing' then a whole load of nonsence would appear in the top space http.... It would load up forever, then finally when it stopped it would say Error 303 or URL too large 414. Now if this happens to you.......All you have to do is to clear some of your 'History'.
I did ask Karin to do a test post for me on SIBOL. She managed to do it okay, but why couldn't I? Well that was the answer. 'History'. Nothing at all wrong with 'Blogger' on this occasion, it was my lap top!
Anyway, I'm back to 'fully restored!' :)

I have two 'Two Tone Green Blankets' to show you.

The first one SIBOL 66 has some Two Tone 'Patterned' Squares amongst them. I think this one has turned out really nice.

The second one is purely comprising of Two Tone 'Grannies'. I made a fringe for this one. It took me a long time to finish it. Doing 19 chain into each stitch. I love the Grannies in this one.

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 65 'and I didn't even make it!'

Hi Everyone!

That's right I didn't even make this one! In the post this morning I received a box and inside was a Blanket, very carefully made and presented.

The Blanket came from 'rebekka's goodies' - Heather. I just couldn't believe how beautifully she had put this together!

I really love how she has joined these Squares together, I love the pattern and most of all I love the colours that she has used in each Square. It is simply beautiful and I know the Nursing Home are going to love it.

Heather is so kind donating this Blanket to SIBOL and I'm just over the moon!

I'm sure you will agree it's just so bright and cheerful, absolutely wonderful!

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 64

Good Afternoon everyone!

I'm very pleased to be showing you today SIBOL No.64. These beautiful Squares have come in from all over the World and I'm very grateful to everyone that has sent them to me.

I'm very pleased too that my friend BrendaS2 on Flickr very kindly said she would put a Blanket together for me. I really love the finished Blanket. This one is for a Man, and even though they are darker colours I think the colour combinations on all the Squares are just perfect. I really love the edging that Brenda has done, just enough I feel not too fancy but just something nice to finish it off.

Thank you so much Brenda, I'm really very grateful to you. Of course I had to hang a bit of Union Jack bunting up on the tree when I took the photos!

Flowers Everywhere! Double Ta - Dah!

Hi Everyone!

Well the Easter weekend has come and gone and I hope you have all had a nice time! I've been making some 'Sunshine Blankets' over the last couple of weeks but it's been rather difficult to show them because we've had this going on.

Completely taking up the old slabs and re-newing.

It was death-trap out there. We've had it repaired so many times we thought now we must do something.

We had to put up with the mess for a week while it was going on.

We also had the tree removed which has given us more light and space.

The workmen were brilliant, really can't complain at all. They soon started putting the new slabs down.

We have three levels in our back garden around a 6ft drop from the house maybe more.

The two lots of steps were replaced, but we had to keep the main wall from the top patio.

On this one you can see the tree was removed.

This was before.

Okay the conifer did look nice and I will miss it, but I won't miss the mess.

So the building work has stopped me from doing the Ta - Dah's until today.

I went outside and took some with my famous bench.

Here they are I hope you like them.

Hello Everyone!

I'm very pleased to be showing you my 60th Ta - Dah today. 60 'Sunshine Blankets' who would have thought that! I just can't believe I've made this many.......Thank you to everyone that has very kindly sent me Squares for SIBOL, without you I wouldn't be able to do this work.

The Squares have all come from the Jan Eaton 200 Crochet Blocks for Blankets, Throws and Afghans. They are from Blocks numbered 26 to 50. This has been one of our 'SIBOL' Challenges, we will move on to the next 25 shortly.

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL 61

Hi Everyone!

A double Ta - Dah today. I'm very grateful to Kate 'The Garden Bell' for helping me out with one of our 'Sunshine Blankets'. A few months ago I sent her 25 Squares. They took an absolute mission to reach her, but finally they arrived. I was quite worried to tell you the truth. It must have been nearly 4 weeks. But yesterday I received the 'Sunshine Blanket' back. As you can see from the above photo Kate had wrapped it beautifully in pretty purple ribbon with a Crocheted Flower.

I'm sure you will agree she has made a wonderful job of the Blanket and I'm sure an Elderly person would just love to receive it!

Kate has called the Sunshine Blanket 'Purple Rain'. I think it is a lovely name and really suits the Blanket, thanks so much Kate.

Knitted Underwater Scene

Hi Everyone!

I'm not quite ready to show you my special 'Ta - Dah!' yet, the Royal Wedding Blanket. Wondered whether you'd like to see these photos I took at the Hobbycraft/Sewing For Pleasure show last week.

Didn't think much of the show to be honest with you. There wasn't much yarn around and the best bit was the Life Boat stand 'The RNLI' which was all knitted. A nice entrance where you walked through and saw all of this.

'Nemesis'

This really was fantastic. I only came away with two Knitted mermaids for my Daughters. I know at 25 they are too big for them, but just a thought from Mom. Do you want to find out more? Click on the link

I also wanted to show you a Crocheted Cardigan I saw in Top Shop. The price was £70.00, not my colour but I loved the design and thought of making one.

I have to thank 'jean nock' today for the beautiful Squares she sent me back in July of last year. I have at last managed to make them up into a Blanket. 25 of the most gorgeous Squares and I think so appropriate for a Man's Blanket. I just love the Squares. Great colour combinations.

These were great Squares to work with and I'm so happy I have now made the Blanket up. I'm sure one lucky Man in a home will be very pleased to receive this one! Thank you 'jean nock!'

I'm thanking everyone that has contributed Squares for the 'Circle of Friends' Challenge. Squares have come in from all over the World. 25 Ladies from different countries. I'm really so grateful to you all.

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 57

Good Evening Everyone!

I hope you are having a nice weekend.

Just popping in to show you the latest SIBOL. It's No. 57. Posy Linda (USA) sent me nearly 50 Squares April 2010. I first of all made 'Butterfly' Blanket with 25 of them and the others have been waiting until now.
I have now finished the second of the Blankets using the majority of her Squares. I have also used Squares from bonsall, Ruth and Sabiha.

The Story of her Squares is in her Special Slide Show over on SIBOL.

I've had such a lot of fun making this Blanket. I absolutely love Flower Squares and to the Ladies who have contributed these Squares thank you so much!

I'm celebrating a year of SIBOL today. I can't believe one whole year of 'blanket making' has passed us by already! We've now made 56 'Sunshine Blankets' totalling 1,400 assembled Squares and I'm still lovin' it!
Thank you to everyone that has helped me by sending me Squares, I am truly grateful to each and everyone of you.

Hello Everyone!

Well I have a Ta - Dah for you, but this is not an ordinary Ta - Dah! This is a Yorkshire Ta - Dah! Louise has been helping me out making some Squares up and this morning I received the Blanket in the post.
Ooh, what a treat it was to open it up! I'm sure you will agree she has made a wonderful job.

Louise has used the flat braiding method of joining the Squares together.

Thank you Louise, it's lovely. Louise has also sent me in some Squares this morning for our Royal Wedding Challenge. Hi Everyone!

What fun I had with this one! Such wonderful Squares from you all, thank you so much. I asked for Squares 'from our Childhood'. As usual you used your imagination very well indeed. We had some beautiful picture Squares come in depicting lots of Childhood memories. Do you remember swinging high on a Swing? Kicking a Football around the garden? Putting a frilly dress on because it was 'Sunday!' I always remember a Sunday afternoon getting ready for my Grandmothers. We'd have to put our best clothes on to visit Grandmother. I'd be waiting around in the Garden having a play on the green Swing we had out in the Garden.

Such happy days......I think this Blanket is a fantastic reminder to us of the things we liked best as children.

I've been busy today uploading new Squares on to SIBOL, but found time also to load up photos of the latest SIBOL. It's No. 53 I know so.....many!

Good Morning Everyone!

Well it's a miserable day here today in the UK. Pouring of rain, mind you we shouldn't complain. You only have to look on the TV to see such awlful weather around the World, we here in the UK must count ourselves lucky!

I hope you don't mind....I didn't go out today to take a photo on my bench. It was so wet out there, and it's dark too and miserable. So...I've had to take a couple inside.

I'm very happy to be telling you I have finally finished the first of the 'Black and White' Challenge Blankets. What with helping Aishwarya set up Ravelry I haven't had much time to crochet. But here is SIBOL No. 49.
I am asking for a name if anyone can think of one, thank you!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! I've still got family at home so I'm a bit pushed for time. Just popping in to show you three Blankets I finished over the holidays. Not much time for the computer I'm afraid. I'll be glad to get back to normal next week.

Hello Everyone!

Thanks to everyone that has been visiting 'Mrs Twins' and has left me comments, I am most grateful to you. I am so pleased you like the Blankets. Your comments are very much appreciated thank you!

Many thanks also to everyone that sent me in Squares for the 'Strawberries and Cream' Challenge. I have now finished the third of four Blankets in this set. There is one more to do in this set and I am desperately trying to get this set finished so I can give them out. Thanks Beverley - one of your little Flowers attached to the Blanket, can you see it? Lovely!

The Jan Eaton Blanket has also been started and as soon as I have finished the next (and last) Blanket in this set I will devote my time to that one. I know you are eager to send in a Square for the next 26 to 50, but I need to get to where I want to be. I hope you understand.

So without further a do, here's the third 'Strawberry and Cream' Blanket. Any ideas for names Ladies?

Hello Everyone!

How are you all? Well I'm very pleased to say I have my 'cookie' problem solved. I haven't been able to sign in to Flickr and Blogland very well because my 'cookie' settings were not 'set correctly!'. I didn't even know what a cookie was. I thought it was something you ate! I have had such a frustrating time this week. When Mr. Twins came home this evening I said 'please can you help me, I can't speak to my friends!'. Well he sat down and in a couple of minutes I was working flat out again! So there you are. If you are having trouble signing in whether it be Flickr or Blogland 'check your cookie settiings!'. You probably already know about 'cookies', but I didn't!.

This morning at lunchtime I had the postie arrive. Along with some beautiful SIBOL Squares from ATheeC I had a package arrive from New Zealand. Well who could that be from? It was from my lovely friends Alice and Raymond. I was so happy because I had won their Blog Giveaway! I am usually so unlucky!

I'm so pleased to be writing a post on 'Mrs Twins' today. I get so excited when we have all 'created' another SIBOL! I can't believe I have now assembled 900 of your beautiful Squares! 36 SIBOL Blankets now and I can't wait to mark the special occasion of 1,000 Squares, that will be 40 SIBOLS! Can you believe that? I thought of an initial target of 6! Amazing!

I am very happy to be showing you the last of the Bonfire Challenge Blankets. This is the third SIBOL Blanket in this Challenge. The Squares have been beautiful I have loved each one. Firey, Bright, Explosive just what we have needed for this Challenge.

Good Evening Everyone!

Thank you to everyone who has very kindly contributed Squares to our 'Bonfire Theme' Challenge. All the Squares have been just wonderful! I have loved working with them all. I have now made the second Blanket for this theme and I have enjoyed every minute. I have one more 'Bonfire' Blanket to make and then I will start the Christmas Blankets. Well I was going to start them today, but Luna sent me Bonfire Squares so I am to make a third now! Great fun! I shall have to raid my Square stash for some Squares to go with Luna's colourful Squares. It will be a challenge for me finding the right ones. But let's hope it won't be long before I can show you what I have come up with!

I just love making the Sunshine Blankets I can't thank you all enough!

Can you see a Granny Square which is Navy, Red and Blue? Well this Square was made by 'ATheeC's Daughter'. I am so pleased she has started crocheting and I'm really really happy to include it in our SIBOL No. 34 Blanket. So thank you and keep up the good work! It's a beautiful Square and I am so pleased you enjoyed making it for SIBOL.

Well you know we have had a 'Bonfire Challenge' over on SIBOL. I'm very pleased to tell you that I have finished the first of the Blankets. There is definitely another one, maybe a 3rd. I have had such fun putting these Squares together. The Squares I have received have definitely met the Challenge. They are firey, sparkly and explosive! Just take a look!

I would like to thank you all for the most gorgeous Sea/Seaside Challenge Squares. Over the weekend I put together our Blanket for this Challenge. I asked you a few months ago to use your imagination and make a Sea/Seaside themed Square. Well I have to say I didn't really have that many Squares for this Challenge but I still managed to put a Blanket together with some lovely Squares I had waiting to be used. The Blanket has
come out really well and I'm really pleased with it. I hope you like it.

I hope you are all having a great Saturday. It's a lovely afternoon here in the UK. I've just been outside to take some photos of my latest Blanket and the sun is shining but there is a nippy breeze. It was nice to see my Blankets blowing in the wind......

Introducing SIBOL No. 29 5/7 'Blue and White'.

Hi Everyone,

I'm just loving the SIBOL Challenges. They are definitely keeping you on your toes and me too. I am so pleased I finished SIBOL No. 29 today. I haven't been able to crack on with it too much this week because
last Saturday Little Miss Twin (1) had a bump in her car, slight rib injury and Little Miss Twin (2) has hurt her leg at the gym. So I'm busy taking Little Miss Twin (2) to work and back. Little Miss Twin has slight discomfort but she's okay. I do hate it when my girls are not themselves. I have been busy taking them here and there so I've been delayed finishing this Blanket off. I actually have had 'withdrawal symptoms from crocheting'. Doesn't it make you feel bad when you can't hook away!. This Friday just gone I sat in my nice
warm Conservatory and had a quiet afternoon in there listening to my classical music on Classic FM and I fell asleep with my glasses on and hook in hand! Sheer relaxation! OOh, it was so good.

I have some beautiful Squares come in for our Blue and White Challenge, enough to make 7 Blankets. I would like to thank you all so much. They are so beautiful. I still have another 2 to make. So if you don't see your Square bear with me, you will!

I had a little gift come in the week. Do you want to see? It was from Linda 'Chalkys World'. What was our favourite colour of the rainbow? Well I just love them all, don't you? Thanks so much Linda.

Linda wrapped the gift up so beautifully!

Inside there was a packet of seeds for a Hanging Basket. I'm sure she knew I liked making baskets up!

The Champagne has popped! Join me in celebrating my very First 'Blogoversary!'.

What does one do for their 'Blogoversary?'. I suppose look back to when it first started. Kate 'The Garden Bell' started just before me. But what did I have to write about? 'Mindless Ramblings' have taken over and now I'm very pleased to say I am celebrating a full one years blogging on 'Mrs Twins'. Who would have thought that?

Every week I'm here sitting in my Kitchen with a cup of tea and lap top on the table talking to my Friends all over the World. Swapping daily news, enjoying what we've been Crocheting. Chatting about what we've just come across on Flickr, oh....what a Wonderful time we have.

You've shared my worries, helped me with internet problems and then.......you got on board with an idea I had back in January. 'Blankets for the Elderly' folk in the UK. You've come up with ideas, you've sent me Squares, you've commented on my Flickr photos, you've commented on my SIBOL Blankets.

So what do I do now........ I say a 'Big Thank You' from the bottom of my heart.

You have not only made my days enjoyable, you've helped me make a dream come true. In Memory of My Grandmother we 'between us' Friends all over the World are united in doing something wonderful and worthwhile for the Elderly' making 28 SIBOL Blankets 700 Squares in total.

I cannot thank you all enough for the continued support on 'Mrs Twins', 'SIBOL', and 'SIBOL - The Archive' It's so nice to have met you all!

My dear Friends celebrate my 'First Blogoversary' with me, but let's congratulate each other on what we have achieved! I thank you all for
your friendship! Thanks for joining me on my Big Day!

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 28! 'Blue and White 4/7'

Good Evening Everyone!

I'm very happy to introduce you to SIBOL No. 28! Yes it's the fourth 'Blue and White' themed Blanket. 7OO SIBOL Squares have now been used up in 'Sunshine Blankets' for the Elderly. Thank you all so much. Now if you can't see your Square please don't worry because I have three more little piles of Blue and White Squares to make up. They don't take long. In fact Mr. Twins went to Scotland this weekend and I started on Saturday and I finished Sunday Evening. That was with jobs in between, I wasn't constantly 'Crocheting'... So that just shows you how quick they get made up 'family permitting of course!'

I think someone suggested 'Highland Blue' was it you? I can't find the note, but I'm sure someone suggested it. This name came to me anyway because of Mr. Twins going up to Scotland. Good name.

I've had one of those days. Blogger playing up, then I couldn't load my photos up. Nevermind we are getting there. I just have a few things to do and then bed.

Hi Everyone!

I'm so pleased I have yet another Ta - Dah for you! I have finished 'SIBOL No. 27' 'Blue and White' theme 'Sunshine Blanket No. 3!'. OOh..... these SIBOL Squares are just so much fun! I particularly like this 3rd one. I like 'love' them all, but this one I think I like the best. I think it's the darker shades of Blue that finishes it off nicely. I'm so grateful to all the Ladies who have contributed Squares for my SIBOL project. I'll leave you now with some photos!!!

Good Evening Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. It's a long one for us here in the UK.
It's Bank Holiday on Monday so that means another day off for those who go to
work. Mr. Twins and myself have just got back from having a Curry. We have been
to the same restaurant for over 30 years. The service was rubbish to tell you the
truth, we were kept waiting for ages for our meal. It looked like the young people on
the next table got fed up of waiting because while they were waiting for their main
course they decided to go outside for cigarettes! Well they didn't come back!
Honestly, haven't they got a cheek! I certainly never did that when I was young.

Anyway, I'm stopping by this evening to show you the latest SIBOL
Blanket. It looks like a twin blanket to me, rather like the first 'Blue and White' I
have been wanting to use up some white yarn I had here. The Squares are so different
of course, they have been simply beautiful to work with. Thank you so much to everyone
who has sent some for this Challenge. I have to thank dear Kate for the gorgeous home-dyed
yarn she sent for the 'Blue and White' themes. It has worked up so beautifully and it was such
a pleasure to work with! Please check Kates' blog 'The Garden Bell'.

The first 'Blue and White' is on the left. It's called 'Wedgewood Willow'. We need a name for the Blanket on the left please?

Hi Everyone!

I do hope you all had a good weekend! I've been busy today finishing off my first Blue and White Blanket. It's been really nice working with the beautful SIBOL Squares I have received. Thank you to everyone who has contributed. I have now made 25 Blankets with 25 Squares in each. Gosh! I've just
worked that out. 625 Squares wow! Squares from I think 16 or 17 countries, amazing!!
So thank you to all who have very kindly sent me these Squares. Who would have thought it, when I first
of all mentioned my idea on 'Mrs Twins' back in January!

May I say Congratulations to The Garden Bell. She has just reached her 1st Blog Anniversary and I'm so
happy that she has stayed the course! Please visit her wonderful Blog. She has the most amazing photographs, and her blankets are just lovely. Not to mention her wonderful home-dyed yarn! Simply beautiful. Kate well done!

I have been waiting desperately for your little seeds to start shooting. They seemed to be taking a long time. I've only had a few flowers so far, unfortunately those slugs have had a bit of a meal! I can't remember the names though Kate, the little packet has disintegrated!

Thanks to everyone for their very nice Birthday wishes! It was really lovely of you all! I spent a quiet day with my Family and I have to say a 'SIBOL free day!'. Gosh I felt so quilty too! I spent a few hours making a cover for some storage boxes and I started a Shawl with Kim's beautiful yarn she sent to me! If you want to see the shawl please go to Kates' blog. Kim sent me some lovely 'Rainbow Glitz' yarn and it was a real treat for me! I'll let you see it when it's finished. Thank you Kim.

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 23 (Flower theme 8)

Hi Everyone!

It's Saturday evening 8.30pm nearly and it's been a really
miserable day here in the UK today. We've had such a lot
of rain with sunny spells in between. It's been quite difficult
to take photos today but I managed it in the end!

I had some lovely Squares come in from Joyce 28 today.
I hope you pop over to SIBOL to have a look at them.
I also finished SIBOL No. 23. This didn't take me long at
all. I only needed to do one row of edging around each Square.

The Red and Blue Flowers belonged to Luna, and I also
used a couple of Netties' Squares, Molly and Wanda. OOh! I
needed another Flower so I followed the video on the side bar on
SIBOL to make a Flower Square, but as it was only the Flower I
needed I just crocheted the Flower head. Why not pop over and

I'm really pleased how the Blanket has come out. I have one
more Flower Blanket to make and that's the Challenge over!
